A: Yes!

Q: How do you handle the shift rod on the left side?

A: An extension for the shift rod is included as part of the kit.

Q: Is the 1" up and back a comfort thing or is it purely performance? Why do I need these plates?

A: Options; whether your cruising to work and back or tearing up the race-track, these plates (both the adjustable and fixed) offer you an additional feature at a great price!

Q: Which model bikes do they fit?

A: Both plates (adjustable and fixed) will fit the 1st Generation (1999-2002) and the 2nd Generation (2003-current) SV 650 / 1000 and SVs 650 / 1000

Q: Are there any fitting issues with my aftermarket exhaust?

A: Some high-mount exhaust may limit your mounting options with the adjustable plates. As always, if you purchase a set of plates and find that they do not meet your satisfaction, we will refund your original purchase price.

A: The very top hole is 1.39" higher than stock and 1.00" further back. The farthest aft column is 1.39" further aft than stock. The holes are spaced at 0.39”.

Q: When I move my rearsets will I have to get a longer brake-light switch spring? Is one provided with the kit?

A: If you wish to retain your brake-light switch operation a longer spring would be required – they can be found at Pep-Boys and other automotive stores for ~$2.00. No, a return spring is not currently supplied with the kit.

Q: Will these allow a back placement, but not up?

A: Currently, any placement towards the back of the bike will require moving the foot position up slightly.

Q: How is the integrity of the metal? are they stress tested in each position?

A: All plates are CNC machined from ¼” thick 6061 Billet Aluminum. Testing has shown that they will withstand multiple impacts from a 200+lb rider jumping on the pegs. Additionally, once crash example showed that they would bend before the rear-set rider-plate bent resulting in less damage to critical rearset pieces

Q: Can these be mounted upside down?

A: Yes, some customers have mounted them upside down, while some customers have found that they conflict with their after-market exhaust systems. Here is a picture from one of our customers who has successfully mounted the plates upside down.
